How Lakeland Spray Foam Insulation Works

Lakeland Spray Foam Insulation insulates and air seals homes, barns, shops and metal buildings across Polk County. We spray open-cell and closed-cell foam, blow fiberglass and cellulose into attics and closed frame walls, and remove insulation that is damaged, contaminated or in the way.

Every job starts with a visit. We go into the attic, look at the walls and any building you want insulated, and measure what is there now. In Central Florida, we look closely at where the ducts and air handler sit, at roof leaks and storm repairs, and at signs of rodents or other pests. We also check for wiring problems that insulation should never cover.

Then we tell you what we would do and why. Foam is not always the answer. For a vented attic without ducts, sealing the ceiling and blowing loose fill to depth usually costs less and works well. On roof decks over attics with ducts, in block walls during remodels and on metal buildings, foam usually earns its price. If two approaches would work, we price both.

How we work

  • Look first. No price until we have seen and measured the space.
  • Itemize. Each area on the quote lists material, depth, target R-value and price.
  • Seal before insulating. Leaks get closed before insulation covers them.
  • Protect your home. Floors and belongings are covered, work areas closed off, and foam areas ventilated until cured.
  • Be straight about rebates. If Lakeland Electric's attic rebate may apply, we remind you to book its inspection before work starts. We never promise money a utility has not approved.
  • Agree before changes. Work starts when you approve the quote, and changes are agreed in writing.
